The Students for a Sustainable Future EXPO is an unique opportunity for students to learn first-hand from corporations, non-profits and NGOs across industries who will showcase their best practices in sustainable development. Exhibit topics range and demonstrate an organizations' goals to incorporate environmental, economic, and societal considerations into their missions as well as their programs and practices. Sponsors have a committment to fostering the next generation of innovative thinkers and critical decision makers that recognize this interconnectedness.

EXPO GOALS

The most powerful approach to advance sustainability is to ensure that the next generation has the intellectual tools necessary to design effective products, processes, and systems. The EXPO seeks to be a catalyst for change among our future arhcitects and designers, builders and scientists, policy makers, corporate leaders and more! By providing students an opportunity to experience the diverse way in which leaders are already making a difference, we seek to encourage all students not only to make behavioral changes now but to seek fields of study and career paths that will promote a more sustainable future.

SPONSORSHIP LEVELS AND BENEFITS

Event sponsorship provides green businesses and organizations an audience among students, teachers, and community stakeholdes in attendance of the EXPO as well as a much larger audience throughout the year with event promotion and distribution of the EXPO Journal. Participating as a sponsor supports increasing the reach of the event's message and the ability to target an increasingly larger audience. Sponsors will receive the following benefits in accordance with their level of participation. (Sponsorships may be in the form of cash or In-kind contributions.)

  • Two full pages in the EXPO Journal with logo affixed to Journal front and back covers as an event sponsor

MEDIA SPONSOR

MEDIA PARTNERS assist with the promotion of the Students for a Sustainable Future EXPO to community members and educators in New York's Lower Hudon Valley, Manhattan and its burroughs, as well communities in the surrounding Connecticut and New Jersey communities. Promotion by MEDIA PARTNERS also includes posting the event on their Event Calendars, as well as providing a hyperlinked EXPO logo, where appropriate. The EXPO Media Partners provided donated services and in exchange receive the following benefits:

  • Logo included as a MEDIA PARTNER on marketing and promotional materials and website (with hyperlink)

EVENT DETAILS

  • Location: Pace University's Pleasantville campus and the University's Environmental Science Program play host to the EXPO in the Goldstein Fitness Center and Gym, 831 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY.
  • Booth dimensions: 10' wide by 10' deep. Booths are provided an accordinan-style metal framed screen with four panels on which materials may be hung (panel dimensions: 30" wide by 26" high). Booths include: one table (60" wide by 30" deep) and two chairs. Additional tables are available at a cost of $10 each or exhibitors may provide their own tables). Table clothes are recommended.
  • The EXPO Journal is distributed free of charge to visitors upon entry to the event and is intended to be a keepsake Journal including description of each exhibitors firm's, or organization's, thier environmental mission statement and innovations or programs relating to the field of sustainable development as well as feature articles on sustainability education, green schools and businesses. Journal pages are black and white, with the front and back cover printed in color.

          Journal page size: 8.25" wide by 10.5" high (allow for 0.5" margin)

          SUBMISSION FORMAT: Word, Publisher or PDF

          SUBMISSION DEADLINE: March 30, 2008

  • EXPO Website: Logo will be posted in order of level of sponsorship participation. Logos are hyperlinked on the "Sponsors and Exhibitors" Page of the EXPO. Sponsors may provide a two or three line description for posting adjancent to thier logo.

LOGO FILE SUBMISSION

Exhibitors should submit a high resolution logo file for printed EXPO materials, 300 dpi TIFF or EPS file (including the Journal back cover) and a low resolution logo file GIFF or JPEG for posting to the EXPO site and linking to their home site. Exhibitor logos are posted and hyperlinked to the exhibitors page as soon as the exhibitors' completed registration forms and payments are received.

SMALLER CONTRIBUTIONS & IN-KIND DONATIONS

Support of any kind is welcome and encouraged by individuals and employees to assist with event planning, promotion, logistical assistance, event execution and expenses. We invite you and your staff to submit their ideas, areas of expertise and availability to the EXPO Co-Chair by emailing Patti Bressman, patti@celfoundation.org or calling (914) 238-4743. EXPO Contributions can be made at www.celfoundation.org/donations. Contributions of $100 or more will be recognized in the EXPO Journal and on the EXPO site.
