ABOUT

THE STUDENTS FOR A SUSTAINABILITY FUTURE EXPO

Now in its third year, the EXPO was created to highlight real world examples of sustainable development from business, industry and government to middle and high school students throughout the Lower-Hudson Valley Region and surrounding communities. Realizing that students learn best from first-hand exposure to new concepts, the goal of the EXPO is to introduce students to fields of study and career paths that will inspire them to become part of the shift in thinking necessary to design sustainable communities and institutions.

Interest in the EXPO continues to grow among schools and corporations. Visiting and exhibiting students and teachers find the experience unique and inspiring, supporting existing studies and introducing new content areas to pursue. Corporate exhibitors, including government and non-government organizations, have been thrilled to participate and excited by the level of interest and enthusiasm they see in this generation of learners. EXPO'08 attendance is anticipated to approach 1,500 participants.
